Founded in 1929 by the Bröring family, the company Bröring began at that time as a specialist in home accessories and textiles. Over time, the focus shifted to beds and bed systems. Today Bröring carries an extensive collection of exclusive showroom beds from major brands. With a collection of mattresses developed and produced by Bröring, Bröring is also a bed outlet that delivers directly to consumers. Bröring has become the bed store of Amsterdam and surroundings. Precisely because the choice of a bed is so important, Bröring's customers often come from far away. 1971

50 years a household name in Greater Amsterdam

Bröring has been around for 50 years and in that time has become a household name in Greater Amsterdam. What began as a family business with a clear vision is today known for reliability and quality. Now, half a century later, the Bröring family sees new opportunities to expand further and take the next step into the future.

1975

Growth

Bröring has since expanded to several branches in the Netherlands, including in Hilversum and Utrecht.

2003

From Family to Family: The Future of Bröring in Trusted Hands

The Bröring family is proud to transfer the business to Barry and Suzanne van Doornewaard. The Van Doornewaard family brings two generations of experience in the furniture and bedding industry.

2007

Bröring refines collection and strengthens team with new experts

Bröring has refined and expanded its collection with exclusive furniture from Poliform and luxurious beds from Carpe Diem. The team has also been strengthened with several specialists, including carpet and curtains.

2017

Third generation

With the arrival of Thomas van Doornewaard, the third generation is now active within the Bröring family business.

2023

New Generation Takes Control at Bröring

Thomas van Doornewaard has since taken the helm at Bröring, which means Barry and Suzanne are confidently handing over the family business to the next generation.
