Broring Natural nestles among the absolute top brands. With extremely favorable value for money.

First of all, what makes a premium quality mattress? We are happy to list it for you:

  • All mattress layers consist exclusively of natural materials, which are comfortable to the touch and very breathable
  • All cover layers lie loose on the pocket springs
  • Tufting (vertical joints) keeps all layers and springs of the mattress in place
  • The pocket springs have a very high point elasticity due to no glue attachment
  • Large number of ultra-thin chrome vanadium steel pocket springs per square meter
  • Unique: each pocket spring is wrapped in ventilating cotton pouches instead of synthetic material
  • Sidestitching ensures the mattress retains its shape even after many years
  • No glue is used in the mattress
  • The mattress is easy to recycle, without chemicals

The new handmade Broring Natural mattresses meet all these requirements.

100% Natural Materials

The specialized Broring atelier makes only handmade mattresses. All layers of these mattresses consist of natural materials, such as cotton, wool, cashmere, bamboo and silk. These materials feel very comfortable on the skin and ventilate optimally thanks to their open structure. Heat and moisture are easily dissipated.

High-density ultra-thin pocket springs

The ultra-thin pocket springs made of chrome vanadium steel are turned in the Broring workshop with its own machines. The large number of pocket springs per square meter ensures maximum comfort and customization with different pressure zones. Each spring in the mattress is wrapped in a cotton pouch (i.e., not synthetic material), allowing the mattress to ventilate optimally when loading and unloading. This ventilation also benefits hygiene, as we release half a liter of perspiration to the mattress every night, and bacteria thrive especially in warm and moist places. The pocket springs are not glued but tufted with the overlay layers. Thus, the springs maintain a high point elasticity.

Side stitching for shape retention

A handmade mattress is immediately recognizable by sidestitching. This allows mattresses to retain their shape even after many years, even at the edges. With sidestitching, the edges of the mattress are attached internally to the pocket springs. Although this manual technique increases the cost, it pays off because the mattress lies more stable and lasts much longer. The edges are much narrower and the mattress is then sprung from edge to edge.

Tufting for extra lying comfort

How do you keep all the loose, unglued layers of a mattress in place? This is done by tufting the mattress, also known as studding. Many vertical connections are made between the top and bottom of a mattress, with straps. This way, all pocket springs maintain their completely free action and all layers and springs of the mattress remain in place. Again, this is handwork and therefore cost-prohibitive. But the difference in comfort, especially in the long run, is well worth the difference.

Choose a recyclable mattress

Preferably do not choose mattresses with interlayer gluing. The pocket springs are then glued to the mattress layers and that directly affects the independent functioning of the pocket springs. Because the plate to which they are glued can hardly spring along. This means less spring comfort and more chance of pitting in the mattress. Glue layers also limit the breathability of a mattress and the chemicals in the glue can be unhealthy for humans and the environment, even when they are recycled at the end of their lifespan. Even well-known brands use glue in their mattresses, so pay close attention to this when buying a pocket spring mattress.

Being able to properly recycle a mattress is increasingly a serious buying consideration. If so, opt especially for a mattress with natural materials and without the use of glue layers.

Guarantees

All Broring Natural mattresses carry a 20-year frame and spring breakage warranty.

Those who place all the above requirements on a mattress quickly end up with mattresses costing many thousands of euros. The prices of Broring Natural mattresses start from 2,000 euros for a single mattress and from 5,000 euros for a complete box spring set of 180 by 200 cm. These are very attractive prices for handmade mattresses. Made possible by specialized production and avoiding high costs of marketing and branding.
