Schramm Mattresses
Schramm makes mattresses entirely by hand, without glue or synthetic materials. Experience the difference at Bröring Amsterdam and receive personalized sleep advice.
Schramm
Schramm manufactures mattresses in the Black Forest, in a workshop that began in 1882 with a single method: hand-placing individual springs, without glue. That has not changed since then.
Every Schramm mattress is made from natural materials. Horsehair, silk, wool, and cotton form the filling layers. There are no synthetic binders, no adhesive layers—nothing that deteriorates in ways you wouldn’t expect. What holds the mattress together is the construction itself. As a result, Schramm mattresses can be refurbished, sometimes decades after purchase.
Schramm manufactures exclusively to order. Dimensions, firmness level per sleeping side, and choice of materials are determined based on your body type and sleep needs. The average delivery time is eight to ten weeks. Your mattress doesn’t even exist yet when you order it.
At Bröring in Amsterdam, you can try out the Schramm collection. Our consultants know the product line inside and out and take the time to understand your sleeping habits. This way, you can be sure you’re choosing the right model.
