Vispring has been one of Britain's most exclusive bed brands since 1901. Vispring develops and produces handmade box springs and mattresses of absolute top quality. With the unique pocket springs in both box springs and mattresses and with the most refined, pure natural materials. These increase comfort and provide perfect ventilation and heat and moisture regulation. Upholstery with quality fabrics give the bed a luxurious look. Many world stars sleep on a Vispring, just like the British royal family. Of particular note is the Queens Award that the brand has been awarded. This royal heritage can be felt in every Vispring bed.
Every box spring and mattress from Vispring is completely handmade. Only natural materials are used in them, even down to the smallest details, such as the cotton pockets of the springs. Vispring has developed a proprietary pocket spring system that supports every movement to perfection. Together with a superior finish, this ensures an unparalleled sleeping experience.
ViSpring is the inventor of the pocket spring. Precisely ViSpring pocket springs provide independent support for the body. Vispring produces up to one million pocket springs every week from vanadium steel, which is extra elastic and dimensionally stable. With a choice of nearly sixty spring types in different hardnesses. Each spring is wrapped in a pouch (pocket) made of natural cotton, which also allows the mattress to breathe on the inside. A natural yarn is used to connect all the springs together in a way that allows each spring to move completely freely. By placing the springs in a honeycomb pattern, there is no empty space between the springs, as with machine production. This provides extra stability and comfort, and no materials can get between the springs and be damaged. Characteristic are the multiple layers of springs that all Vispring mattresses from around 8,000 euros and up already have. It is the ideal basis for tailored support for hips, shoulders and back.
All Vi-spring mattresses have side stitching, even the entry-level models. Side stitching involves attaching the edge of the mattress internally to the pocket springs. An intensive and manual job that can take up to eight hours per mattress and ensures that the mattresses are sprung edge-to-edge. It also prevents the mattress edges from sagging and becoming less tight and stable over time.
Important for the lying comfort of a mattress is the direction in which the pocket springs are placed. At Vi-Spring, this is always done lengthwise, with the springs being inserted by hand. Simply because there are no machines yet that can do this. The big advantage of springs in the longitudinal direction is that no hole is pulled into the bed next to you. Again, it is handwork, takes more time but provides a lot of extra comfort.
Studding (tufting) the mattresses adds extra comfort. This involves a vertical connection of the top and bottom of the mattress. This provides extra stability and durability. The advantage of tufting is also that all intermediate and top layers of the mattress are fixed and thus remain in place. Tufting can only be done manually. With Vi-Spring it is done with a solid connection.
All techniques combine to provide optimal ventilation, moisture management, support and comfort.
