Latex mattresses

Are you looking for a mattress for your box spring that is soft, durable, and naturally hypoallergenic? Then a natural latex mattress might be just what you’re looking for. These are what we call our “solid-core” mattresses.

100% natural latex mattresses

The 100% natural latex mattresses available in Bröring’s basement are made from the sap of the Hevea brasiliensis, also known as the rubber tree, using the “Dunlop” method. This contrasts with the other 100% natural rubber in our showroom, “Talalay latex,” which is commonly used in pocket spring mattresses.

In the Dunlop process, the natural rubber is whipped with soap and then vulcanized in molds, which create the zones in the material. The cores are then washed to remove any remaining soap and other impurities from the rubber. The mattress is then dried in hot-air ovens, which gives the rubber its structure.

Talalay latex

Unlike Talalay latex, Hevea Dunlop rubber has a slightly higher density and lower homogeneity. On the other hand, it is more durable than Talalay latex but offers poorer ventilation than the latter. There are also differences in dynamics.
Hevea latex mattresses are available in 3 different levels of firmness so that people of lighter build as well as those who are a bit heavier can find a mattress that fits their body well. Of course, your Bröring advisor is here to assist you in making the right choice. To ensure proper alignment and support, the mattress is divided into 5 zones, each targeting a specific part of the body. It is therefore important to be mindful of your position on the mattress—ensuring you are lying in the correct spot and not too high or too low within the mattress.

moisture regulation

To optimize moisture regulation, the mattress is fitted with a cover in which 500 grams of wool per square meter is tufted into the sleeping surface. A washable cover is also available.

The beauty of the Premium natural latex mattresses lies in the way they combine flexibility with support. The latex has an almost liquid-like feel, combined with an upward pressure that provides excellent support.
